Job Description: 

Commercial construction company is seeking an experienced Estimator for its Commercial Insulation operation based in San Francisco, CA. This individual will be responsible for preparing estimates for the installation of Mechanical Insulation on HVAC & Plumbing systems and developing new accounts for the branch in the San Francisco market.

Job Duties:

• Performing quantitative takeoffs and job cost estimates on construction projects.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors in the market.
• Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
• Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
• Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
• Assist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Project Management Team.

Requirements: 

Basic Requirements

• 
  At least 3 years of estimating construction projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess advanced proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software. 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is required. 
• Understanding and interpretation of project drawings and specifications, especially as it relates to HVAC & Plumbing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, critical think, and problem-solve.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management
• OSHA Certification
• Local to Austin preferred
